LINDEN – R. Lizzie Shotts, 94, a resident of Linden most of her life, died Wednesday afternoon in Turtle Creek Convalescent Center at Lafayette after an extended illness. She attended the old Christian Church at Linden. Mrs. Shotts was born in Baron County, Ky., on July 14, 1892. She married Isaac P. Shotts at Linden in 1912. He died in 1929. Surviving are a nephew, Isaac McBee of Linden; a grand-nephew, Roger Watts of Mount Herman, Ky.; and a grand-niece, Martha Byer of Indianapolis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Helms Funeral Home here with the Rev. John Webb officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. – jlr
